REGIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OFFICE MEETS ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OFFICERS OF THE SOUTH TONGU DISTRICT ASSEMBLY
The Volta Regional Environmental Health Office has the responsibility of providing technical backstopping to officers at the Municipal and District levels. It also has the responsibility of supervising the staff at that level and assisting in addressing the challenges the staff face. It was in line with the above that the Regional Environmental Health Officer, Madam Stella Kumedzro, convened a meeting for staff of the Office who were under the Environmental Health Unit of South Tongu District Assembly. The meeting was held on 15th March 2022 at Volta Regional Co-ordinating Council Conference Hall and had the participation of 18 Officers of the Unit. The meeting was conveyed purposely to address some internal challenges that affected service delivery in the district.
Among the internal challenges identified were the lack of logistics, and in-service training on report writing. Madam Kumedzro led the officers at the Regional Office to assist the officers of the Unit to find solutions to some of the issues raised. She gave the assurance of working relentlessly towards addressing the other matters of concern raised
