NHIA CEO Pays Working Visit to Volta Regional Minister
The Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Dr. Victor Bampoe, has paid a working visit to the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, in Ho.
The visit formed part of the NHIA CEO’s tour of the region to assess operations and strengthen collaboration with key stakeholders.
Welcoming the delegation, Hon. Gunu emphasized that a healthy population is essential for national development and reiterated the importance of the NHIA’s role in achieving this goal. He called for continuous capacity building of staff to support President John Dramani Mahama’s “Resetting Agenda”.
Dr. Bampoe noted that claims are now being paid promptly, following the recent uncapping of the National Health Insurance Fund by the President. He expressed confidence in the reforms being undertaken to improve service delivery under the Scheme.
