The Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations together with other relevant national agencies are at the forefront of national efforts to address child labour issues. This is evident in the development of the revised version of the guidelines and protocols for establishing   CLFZs and NPA.

The CLFZs seek to promote the strengthening of systems and structures at the Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies [MMDAs] as well as community levels for the elimination of all forms of child labor and also for the promotion and development of children in a geographical area.

The GAAPACL also sets out the strategic implementation plan for the elimination of child labor as well as serves as the coordination mechanism for effective and efficient mobilization efforts, collaboration, and sharing lessons towards child and forced labor elimination.

All MMDAs are to receive four (4) copies of the GAAPACL and CLFZs and three (3) each to the Regional Co-ordinating Council
