The Volta Regional Coordinating Council in partnership with the private sector has held a Media Launch and Official Endorsement for the 5th Volta Trade and Investment Fair at the Residency Conference Hall, Ho.

The event which saw the participation of members of the media, Traditional Rulers, Volta Development Forum, Hon. Municipal and District Chief Executives, Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) Eastern, Volta and Oti Regional Branch, Ho Technical University, and University of Health and Allied Sciences, among others, was under the chairmanship of Mr. Prince Kofi Kludjeson.

The Fair which shall be held from 15th November to 28th November 2021 at the Ho Sports Stadium is under the theme, “Promoting Sustainable Trade and Investment with focus on Agribusiness, Tourism and ICT Development.”

It shall attract, especially, local businesses to showcase their products and services with the aim of promoting industrialization in the Region.

The Co-ordinating Council seeks to create a productive economy in the Region, in line with National Policies, by nurturing the private sector and creating the economic environment that ensure the growth of local industries and enterprises.

Speaking at the launch, the Hon. Regional Minister entreated the private sector, financial institutions and the relevant State Institutions to support and participate in the Fair.

He stated that the Fair would attract a large number of exhibitors, and investors into the Region in November with the effect of boosting local economic development.
