The Regional Department of Agriculture in collaboration with the National Youth Authority, Volta Region has sought to leverage the PFJ phase two recently launched by His Excellency the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuff-Addo to increase youth involvement in agriculture, provide employment, and promote food security in the country.

To achieve this goal, Municipal and District Assemblies in the Volta Region have been directed to collaborate with landowners and traditional authorities in their respective jurisdictions to secure 100 acres of land for the implementation of phase two of the PFJ program.

Landowners who release their lands for the project will be compensated through a swap system, whereby produce from the farms or its cash equivalent will be paid to them as royalties. This information will guide all negotiations on the subject matter.
