Management of the Volta Regional Coordinating Council received visitors from the Anlo Special School.

The school, as part of the celebration of the birthday of its Proprietor, Miss Elinam Sallah, embarked on an excursion to the Volta Regional Co-ordinating Council. At the Council, the pupils and their handlers were conducted round some offices.

They were taken to the Chief Director’s office where the Acting Chief Director, Mr. Prosper Afenyo and some key officers welcomed and interacted with them. The Acting Chief Director commended the Proprietor, and other handlers of the pupils for their sacrifice, and commitment to provide an opportunity for pupils with special needs to acquire certain vital skills. He assured the school of the Council’s support.

Finally, the excursionists were taken to the office of the Regional Minister to pay a courtesy call on him and have an interaction with him. The Hon. Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa heartily welcomed them, and sought to know more about the school. He was also briefed on the challenges of the school.

Dr. Letsa commended the Founder for the bold initiative of establishing the school. He as well commended the other handlers of the pupils for the support being provided.

He entreated Miss Sallah and her team to continue with the good work they had begun, as he assured them of the availability of the Co-ordinating Council to support and champion the cause of the school.
