Adolescent And Community Anti-Violence Groups Sensitized On Sexual And Gender-Based Violence
The Regional Department of Social Welfare in its quest to strengthen stakeholders’ collaboration towards the protection of the vulnerable from harm and abuse has undertaken education for female students on identification and reporting of abuse and gender-based violence. The students were drawn from E.P. Basic and Second-cycle schools in the Ho Municipality.
In a similar vein, the Community Anti-Violence groups of the E.P., Church have also been educated on how to identify and address sexual violence and abuse issues in their communities. This was done during the launching of E.P Church’s Gender Equality project in Ho.
The project seeks to tackle child marriage and other negative practices that impede the development of men and women in the church and their communities.
