The Queen Mother of Have Traditional Area and a team called on the Hon. Volta Regional Minister, Dr Archibald Yao Letsa at the Residency, Ho on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, to officially inform him about the death of the paramount chief of the area, Togbega Asemtsyra (IX).

The spokesperson of the team, Dr Kofi Kludjeson said the late chief reigned for over forty years (40 yrs). He indicated that it was imperative for them to officially inform the Regional Minster about the death and invite him to the funeral. Dr. Kludjeson also used the opportunity to appeal to the Hon. Regional Minister to assist the Traditional Area to complete an ongoing Traditional Council Building project.

The Regional Minister on his part welcomed the delegation and assured them of the support of the Regional Co-ordinating Council for a befitting burial to be given to the late paramount chief. He also promised to be at the funeral to support and commiserate with them.

With regard to the ongoing Traditional Council Building project, the Regional Minister assured the delegation that he would discuss it with the District Chief Executive of the Afadzato South District Assembly in order to provide some form of support to them.

The delegation notified the Regional Minister that the funeral would be held in the first week of November 2018. In this regard, the Hon. Regional Minister commended them for coming well before time to officially inform him.

The Queen mother, Mamaga Tsyrawah IV on her part was full of praise for the Hon. Regional Minister for the warm reception given to the delegation. She also expressed her gratitude to the Hon. Regional Minister for accepting to support in the completion of the Traditional Council Building project.
