The Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC), on Friday, 19th April, 2024, received a team from the Office of the Head of Local Government Service (OHLGS) led by Dr. Amoah Smock Audrey – Director, Management and Technical Services Directorate (MTSD) and supported by Mr. Abdul-Jamil Issakah- Deputy Director, Administration to monitor and assess the overall operations of the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC).

The Chief Director/Regional Coordinating Director – Mr. Augustus K. Awity welcomed the team on behalf of the Volta Regional Minister – Hon. Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa.

Among the checklists of the Key Point Indicators of the Perfomance contract assessed which were the Annual Action Plan, Progress Report, record management, official website publications, client service, Performance Appraisals and the sanitation of the facility. With the maximum cooperation of the staff of the VRCC, the exercise was smooth and successfully concluded.

The assessment is an ongoing exercise being carried out across the sixteen (16) regions in all the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs), including the Regional Coordinating Councils. The main purpose of the exercise was to find out if all the indicators signed in the performance contract were being followed and subsequently ranked to determine the best performing region and by extension, RCC and the Assembly.

Dr. Audrey Smock Amoah in her concluding remarks mentioned that, general performance across the Assemblies and the RCCs was good but added that, they could still do better.
