The 2018 edition of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) began on Monday, June 4, 2018 nationwide, with a total of Thirty-six Thousand and Eighty-one (36,081) candidates made up of Nineteen Thousand one hundred and Fifty-Five (19,155) boys and Sixteen Thousand Nine Hundred and Twenty-six (16,926) girls from the Volta Region.
The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. Dr Archibald Yao Letsa as part of efforts to motivate the candidates, and apprised himself of happenings at the exam centres visited some centres in the Regional Capital, Ho.
The centres visited were the Mawuko Girls SHS, Mawuli SHS and Kabore School centres. The Hon. Regional Minister was accompanied on the visit by the Hon. Municipal Chief Executive of Ho, a team from the Regional Education Directorate led by the Regional Director of Education, and the Ho Municipal Director of Education.
