Public procurement authority tour of projects
In furtherance of the mandate of Coastal Development Authority (CODA), an Officer from the Public Procurement Authority (PPA) and a team from the Head Office of CODA visited the Volta Region to monitor ongoing projects and inspect sites for newly re-awarded contracts in Volta region. CODA is carrying out some developmental projects in the Region under the Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Programme (IPEP) which is a special initiative of Government. A team from the Regional Office CODA accompanied the Officer from PPA and those from the Head Office of CODA as they undertook the monitoring and inspection exercise.
The monitoring commenced on 25th April 2022 and ended on 30th April 2022. A total of 16 ongoing projects comprising community water systems, solar panel water closet toilet facilities, classroom blocks, market stalls and CHPS Compound were inspected in Hohoe Municipality, Afadzato South District, Ho West District, Ho Municipality, Adaklu District, Ketu North Municipality, South Dayi, North Dayi District and South Tongu District (constituencies) in the Volta Region.
This monitoring afforded the Public Procurement Authority the opportunity to be abreast with progress of work on various projects (contracts) that it had awarded under IPEP.
The Official of Public Procurement Authority (PPA) expressed optimism about the execution of the contracts awarded.
