The Regional Department of Social Welfare, in fulfilment of its mandate to monitor Social Protection activities embarked on a monitoring exercise with regard to Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) cash grant disbursement to beneficiaries in Ho, Ketu North and Ketu South Municipalities. A Regional Team comprising the Regional Director, Mrs. Stella Mawutor Agbezuhlor and three other members of staff of the Department monitored the disbursement (payment) at ten (10) pay-points in twenty-five (25) communities from the 27^th to the 29^th of April 2022.

The monitoring team took into consideration best practices and challenges during the exercise and offered the needed advice. The team cross-checked the cash received by each beneficiary against receipts issued

The team also interacted with and sensitized the beneficiaries on proper utilization of the cash received, proper care of vulnerable household members, National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and Birth Registrations, and Registration of Secondary Caregivers among others.

Finally, the Regional Director advised beneficiaries on the judicious use of funds.
