Following the successful conduct of the District Level Elections across the country in ……, Thursday, 23rd January 2020 had been chosen for the inauguration of all Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies in the country. In this regard, the Hon. Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa on behalf of His Excellency Nana Akufo Addo, the President of the Republic of Ghana, I inaugurated three (3) Assemblies in the Region,  namely Kpando Municipal Assembly, North Dayi District Assembly and South Dayi District Assembly. 

At Kpando Municipal Assembly, the Hon. Regional Minister inaugurated the 8th Assembly of the Kpando Municipal Assembly which has thirty (30) members. The 30-member Assembly is made up of 19 Elected Hon. Members, 9 Government Appointees, the Municipal Chief Executive and the Hon. Member of Parliament for Kpando Constituency. 

The Inaugural Ceremony was under the chairmanship of Mr. Geoffrey Badasu.

The Hon.  Members of the Assembly swore the Official Oath and the Oath of Secrecy which were administered by Her Worship Love Worname, the District Magistrate.

From Kpando Municipal Assembly, the Hon. Regional Minister inaugurated the 3rd Assembly of the North Dayi District Assembly at Anfoega. The 3rd Assembly comprises twenty-three (23) Elected Members, eleven (11) Government Appointees, one (1) Hon. Member of Parliament and (1) Hon. District Chief Executive.

 Here, the 36-Member Assembly was sworn into office by Her Worship Love Worname who administered the Official Oath and the Oath of Secrecy. 

Dr. Letsa concluded his engagements with the inauguration of the South Dayi District Assembly at Kpeve.

The Assembly has 33 Members made up of 21 Elected Members, 10 Government Appointees, 1 Hon. Member of Parliament and 1 Hon. District Chief Executive who were sworn into the Assembly by Her Worship Felicia Gandedzi.

It is worth noting that the remaining Fifteen (15) Assemblies of the Region were also duly inaugurated the same day by other representatives of the President of the Republic.
